Fees

Transparent Fees, Trusted Care

I understand that seeking private medical care is a big decision for many families. That’s why I believe in being completely open and transparent about my fees — so you can focus on what really matters: getting the right help for your child. All consultation fees are listed below, and if you’re unsure about anything, I’m always happy to have a chat before you book.

How Long are Appointments

New patient appointments: 40 minutes

Follow-up appointments: 20 minutes

Initial consultation: £200

Follow-up consultation: £150

Every child is different, and some consultations naturally need a little more time than others. If your child’s needs are more complex, or there’s more than one concern you’d like to discuss, I’ll make sure we have enough time to cover everything properly — because rushing through an important conversation is never the right approach. Where a longer appointment is needed, I’ll let you know in advance based on the information you share with me when booking, and any additional costs will always be made clear to you upfront. No surprises — just honest, thorough care.

*Please note my fee does not include the cost of any tests or prescriptions. You will need to settle this separately with the hospital or pharmacy

Patients with Private Health Insurance

Good news — I’m recognised by all the major private health insurance providers, so in most cases your consultation will be covered by your policy.

To make things as smooth as possible, here’s a simple checklist of what to do before your appointment:

  • Get a referral letter from your GP — your insurer will usually need this before they’ll cover the cost of your consultation
  • Check your policy — it’s worth having a quick look at your cover beforehand, including any excess you may need to pay and any limits on consultations or tests
  • Get pre-authorisation from your insurer — most insurance companies ask you to get approval before your appointment, so please do this in advance to avoid any unexpected costs
  • Please provide these details to my secretary – she will be in touch via e-mail

If your insurance policy includes an excess, this will be your responsibility to pay. Don’t worry — we’ll send you a clear, separate invoice after your appointment, so you know exactly what’s owed and when.

If you’re unsure about any of this, please don’t hesitate to get in touch before your appointment — we’re happy to help guide you through it. The most important thing is that your child gets the care they need, and we’ll do our best to make the process as straightforward as possible for your family.

Patients Who are Self-Funding

Don’t have private health insurance? No problem at all — I’m very happy to see self-funding families, and you don’t even need a referral letter from your GP to book an appointment. I will, however, always send a copy of the consultation notes to your GP afterwards, just to make sure everyone involved in your child’s care is kept in the loop.

After your appointment, you’ll receive a clear invoice along with your consultation letter. Payment can be made by bank transfer (BACS), and I kindly ask that invoices are settled within 15 days.
